Personal Interlude: Where in the world did Ann go?

So, after a way too long time, I've finally returned to my legacy. If anybody was wondering where I'd run off to, well...

I've been busy doing this:

And this:

And this:

 ...and so on. XD

In all honesty though, real life just completely caught up to me. I had been given the most amazing opportunity of working on a farm in a different country (New Zealand) for just under a year. I've been trying to make the absolute best out of this opportunity, so I've been travelling and meeting people and ticking things off my bucket list and doing things I would never have previously even tried to do. I've learned how to drive tractors, went camping on my own, spent hours languishing in hot pools surrounded by snow and mountains, spent more hours working in pouring rain and getting animals out of ditches (and enjoying it all the way).

I've been having a hell of a lot of fun, and simming simply didn't cross my mind.

...But lately, in the quiet moments, Lyra's been knocking on my door, going "Remember me?"

And well, of course I did. I opened my game for the first time in over a year and went: Oh yeah, this is why I enjoyed it so much. Rereading my previous chapters only served to remind me even more, so here I am. Hopefully this time, I won't disappear again. XD

  1. Oh wow, that looks fun! I mean, I would never jump out of a plane but rafting definitely seems awesome! It seems like you've had some wonderful opportunities, and it's great you took advantage of them. (: This post also reminded me that I need to catch up with your blog where I left off!

    1. It was! The sky-dive was one of the things on my bucket list, so I had to at least try it, but I'll admit, those 10 seconds of free-fall was the most terrifying thing I've ever experienced. I don't think I'll do it again. XD The rafting though...yeah, I might do that again. It was fun. :)

Lol, it seems we're in the same boat then - I still have to catch up on your new blog as well. But I'll get there!

  2. That's wonderful! It's always 110% better to live your life instead of of playing video games. I'm new to the this whole challenge so I'm reading people's blogs from the beginning. Nice to meet you (and welcome back!)

    1. Nice to meet you as well, and welcome to the challenge! I'll be reading your blog as well once I get through the backlog of chapters I have to catch up on. ;)

  3. That all looks super fun! (not to me because I'm scared of heights and water sports give me harrowing flashbacks of canoeing when I was about 10) but it looks super cool! It's best to take advantage of everything life offers you, after all, games have a pause button whereas life doesn't (blech I'm so cheesy xD)

Anyhoo, it's nice to see that you're still around ^-^

    1. It was! I actually quite like heights, and the view from up there was *amazing*, so once the parachute opened it was great. But that free-fall bit was absolutely terrifying. I'm not gonna do that anytime soon again. The water sports was great fun, and I might do it again if I get the opportunity. It's a bit cold for that now, being the middle of the winter and all that. XD

Sometimes cheesy lines are the best ones. ;)

    1. I really enjoyed it! As for my bucket list, I got the chance and the opportunity so I decided why wait?

  6. Damn, that looks fun! Parachuting is very high on my bucket list too, although the rafting thing would probably terrify me because I can't swim and fast moving water is very scary.

I haven't seen your legacy before because I wasn't around back then but I'm going to read the summary and then start reading gen. 3. Pretty crazy that your posts date back to 2012, knowing myself I probably would have restarted a dozen times in that timespan!

    1. It was! The parachuting part of the skydive was absolutely incredible, with definitely the best view anyone can wish for. It was amazing, but I think I actually enjoyed the rafting a bit more. It lasted longer, with a lot more happening. It was great fun, but I understand why you'd avoid it if you can't swim. :)

*insert awkward laugh here* Wow, I can't believe it's been that long. I had a couple of posts in 2012, but my blog only really got going in March 2013. I hope the summary is useful!
